Welcome to DA Trans, a group for transgender and transsexual people and their supporters. This is a place where trans people can meet up and share art and writings on the subject and also to find support and information.

This is *not* a group about pornography and any members submitting pieces which violate DA policiy in this way will not be allowed to be a part of DA Trans.


New Competition!
The competition is to do a piece using the transgender symbol, demonstrated beautifully on our icon. It can be in any style or media and the symbol can be as subtle or blatent as you want. you can also submit as many entries as you want. Send your entries to me ~bluecanary at littlec_27@hotmail.com with title and description.

DA Trans ID Competition
To celebrate the launch of DA Trans we are asking people to design an ID for the group. The only specifications is that it can't be too big (as that will mess up the page and be irritating) and it must have the name and the date that the group started (June 6th 2003). Email entrys to littlec_27@hotmail.com. Happy designing!

We also hope to have a poetry competition coming soon.

Good news!
There is good news for those living in Canada. The ontario court has changed the definition of marrage to "the voluntary union for life of two persons to the exclusion of all others." This would, obviously, enable trans people of any oriantation to have their union legally recognised. Lets hope other countries take this lead...

I've not been emailed one submission for this group yet. What's wrong with y'all? I would put up some more stuff, but then it would just be me which would be bad. Come on now, it doesn't have to be directly trans related. Some pretty flowers or something would do.
